           Flat owners in three more precincts had voted for the various upgrading programmes offered to them. One was for Interim Upgrading Programme Plus (IUP Plus), while two were for Lift Upgrading Programme (LUP).


2         All obtained the 75% support level for the programmes to proceed. The details are as follows:


IUP Plus

         a) Woodlands Avenue 1/Avenue 3/Street 32 (Blks 336 - 350) (87KB)

         Polling was conducted from 21 to 24 April 2006.

         90.3% of the eligible flat owners supported the programme.

         All the 15 blocks obtained the 75% support level for the LUP to proceed.


LUP

All 25 blocks in the two precincts obtained the 75% support level for the LUP to proceed. The details are as follows:

         b) Kim Keat Link/Avenue (Blks 242, 243, 245, 252-256, 258 and 259) (64KB)

         Polling for the 10 blocks was conducted from 21 to 24 April 2006.

         c) Tampines Street 82/83 (Blks 830-838, 841, 843, 845, 847, 849 and 851) (41KB)

         Polling for the 15 blocks was conducted from 21 to 24 April 2006.


3         Construction work for the IUP Plus in Woodlands Avenue 1/Avenue3/Street 32 precinct will commence on 1Q 07 and is expected to be completed in 2Q 09. Construction work for LUP in the two precincts will commence on 4Q 06/1Q 07 and is expected to be completed in 2Q 09.


4         Inclusive of all these precincts, currently, out of 940 HDB blocks which have undergone polling for the LUP, 910 blocks have obtained the 75% support level for the programme.
