SC Global has managed to sell possibly the most expensive apartment ever in Singapore - for a cool S$16 million.

The sum buys a super-penthouse at the luxury Boulevard Residence development near Orchard Road.

The buyer of the 5,700 square feet unit has not been named, but is a foreigner who heads an international hedge fund which will be setting up office in Singapore.

He is paying about S$2,800 per square foot - a record.

The ultra-luxurious super-penthouse occupies three levels and boasts its own swimming pool and rooftop terrace. - CNA/ch
