Apartment at RiverGate condo sold for record price of S$1,700psf

SINGAPORE : A four-bedroom residential apartment along the Singapore River has been sold at S$1,700 per square foot - a record price for the area.

The apartment is part of the RiverGate condominium fronting the Singapore River, built by CapitaLand and Hwa Hong Corporation.

When completed, RiverGate will be a 43-storey landmark in the Singapore River area.

The first phase of the freehold development was launched in the middle of last year and the second phase at the end of the year.

Over 90 percent of the 370 units released in these two phases has been taken up.

Buyers include local and foreign homebuyers, high net-worth investors and private funds, with foreigners accounting for about two-thirds of the sales. - CNA/ms
