I REFER to Patrick Tan's letter 'Raze flats where lift upgrade not practical' (ST, May 15).

The situation in Silat Road is even worse. These are a few blocks of old three- and four-storey HDB flats which seem to be forgotten by the HDB.

They are about 50 years old and there is no upgrading.

It does not make sense to install lifts which serve only two floors at each stop and only for two floors for the three-storey block and three floors for the four-storey block.

This area comes under Tanjong Pagar GRC, the ward of the Minister Mentor.

Have these blocks of flats also been forgotten by the constituency's MPs?
