New BTO flats to be developed in Geylang Serai
The Housing Development Board (HDB) has launched a new public housing project in the Geylang Serai area. Named Sri Geylang Serai, the development, which is expected to be completed in 2010, will have 447 units of Build-to-Order (BTO) four-room flats.
Ranging from 90 to 92 square metres in floor area, buyers can also opt for optional furnishings such as internal doors and ceramic floorings at an additional cost.
The application period for the flats have started and will close on Nov 15, 2006.
Residents of the new development will benefit from the proximity of amenities, such as the Geylang Serai Market, Joo Chiat Complex and Malay Village. Sri Geylang Serai is also a short distance away from recreational places like East Coast Park, Katong and Marine Parade.
In 2009, stallholders will return to the completed Geylang Serai Market. The stalls there harbour a unique cultural flavour exclusive to the area that attracts many people from all over Singapore.
The Paya Lebar and Eunos MRT stations, including the Eunos bus interchange, are all within walking distance of the development. Travel convenience will be further enhanced when the Circle Line is completed in 2010.
HDB will hold the BTO exhibition at Habitat Forum (BizFour, 3rd storey, HDB Hub) till Nov 15, 2006. Sample finishes, 3D models and perspectives of the Sri Geylang Serai development will be exhibited.
Interested applicants can collect the sales brochure at HDB Hub or visit HDB's e-Sales website at www.hdb.gov.
