SingTel selling Robinson Road Post Office site

SINGAPORE : SingTel is putting up another of its property for sale by tender.

No 71 Robinson Road, formerly known as Crosby House, houses the Robinson Road Post Office.

The 24,500 square feet site may be redeveloped into a Grade A office building or a 52-storey apartment tower.

It is zoned for commercial use with a gross plot ratio of 11.2 and a height restriction of 35-storeys.

The 99-year leasehold site has a remaining lease term of 45 years, and in-principle approval is being sought from the Singapore Land Authority to top up the lease to a fresh term of 99 years.

The tender, which closes at the end of September, is expected to be keenly contested due to its strategic location in the central business district. - CNA/ms
