| Several factors affect loan adjustment fees I REFER to the letter, 'Stanchart loan that went seriously sour', by Wilfred Ng (Mailbag, Sept 8). The bank would like to clarify that mortgage interest rates are revised in line with the market. The fees for adjustments to a home loan package take into consideration such factors as insurance premiums, legal fee subsidies, cash rebates and valuation fees paid in connection with the loan. We have contacted Mr Ng to clarify the matter. We have also reviewed and discussed the specifics of his loan with him. And we would like to thank him for his feedback. Elaine Heng |
