VivoCity will open with over 90% occupancy SINGAPORE'S latest retail mall, VivoCity, will open for business next weekend with more than 90 per cent of the available space already taken up. For a start, about 60 per cent of VivoCity's 1.04 million square feet of net lettable area will be ready for its soft opening. The grand opening will be on Dec 1. Outlets ready for business next weekend include anchor tenants Golden Village, with its 15-screen multiplex, a new concept hypermarket by Dairy Farm International, and Tangs, with its new fashion lifestyle store. Other retailers likely to take advantage of the first-day traffic at VivoCity include Food Republic, Kopitiam, Akashi Japanese Restaurant, Best Denki, Challenger, Esprit, E-Zone, La Senza, Marks & Spencer, Osim and Planet Fitness. The opening of VivoCity marks a major milestone in the redevelopment of the entire HarbourFront precinct. Other facilities which will follow soon include the St James Power Station and Sentosa Express light rail. |
